Don't wake up till you stop dreaming.

This week I would like to address a growing interest and controversy involving dreams. This may seem like a weird subject to some people, being as most folk just pass dreams off as something that happens when you sleep. If you are wondering why I chose this subject I will tell you it was because of some recent dreams I have had and all the time spent pondering their meanings. I will discuss my theory on what happens during the R.E.M. stage of sleep. For those of you who don’t know, R.E.M. stands for rapid eye movement, not the band which by the way is awesome. My theory about what happens when you go into this deep stage of sleep is that your mind wanders from your body. To be more clear, I would say that your soul in essence travels from your body to a safe zone where it is free to create anything.

Now this does sound weird, but dreams are one of the most beautiful and creative art form that the body can produce. I believe that the more creative and open minded you are, the crazier the dreams and thus the more satisfying, if you can remember them when you wake up. A couple weeks ago I splurged on one of those memory foam pillows and it was one of the best purchases I have made in awhile. Since that day I have consistently had really long dreams, I mean freaking long. I have never dreamt like that in my life, they are super long and are different every day. Now since then, I have actually tried to categorize my dreams and make some sense of them, if any could be had. Dreams have been read and interpreted since ancient times, and although we have lost that connection to our spiritual self in today’s society, I believe people are more open than they were even 15 years ago. I noticed that in some of my dreams, they revolved around events and thoughts that I had had during the day. Others were random happenings and a crazy mix of things I most likely wouldn’t normally think of when I am in a conscious state.

Anyways I have theories on everything and I have about ten different ones for dreams, but what I really want out of this blog is for you, the reader, to tell me what you think of dreams and their meanings. Tell me what your interpretations on dreams are, if you think they are nothing, I would be curious to know why. If you have a new outlook on them, or have just had some cool dreams that you would like to share I would be happy to hear them. I hope with this you can widen your view of your minds eye.

Remember, your focus for this blog needs to be persuasive. So, tell us why you interpret dreams the way you do...or give us some evidence to help us.
