An old subject of controversy was brought back to life during a dicussion I had with a friend today. I thought it would be interesting to see how many people out there have an opinion on this matter. The controversy was over the september 11th terrorist attacks, or as I like to call it, the bush is a doushe conspiracy theory. Although it is not a theory it is fact in my opinion and I would like to know your own views on this forgotton subject. In 2001 I was awakened by a phone call from my dad, he was telling me that we were being attacked. The first thing that came to my head was the movie "Red Dawn" with the late patrick swayze. As I, like many people, were glued to the t.v. for hours, I witnessed firsthand the historic events as they played out in real time.
I watched the second plane crash into the second tower and continued to watch as people were jumping from the buildings to the streets below. This horrible sight was unbelivable to watch, and to think that I was around to witness one of the biggest events in our history. As I watched the towers start to fall I noticed something, there were little explosions that ran up the building before they began to fall. Even as I watched them fall I couldn't help but think it looked an aweful lot like a planned demoliton of a building. In the following years, after we went to Afghanistan and then Iraq, I had done all kinds of reseach into the conspiracy theory. How the Bush administration were responsible for the september 11th attacks and not terrorists. I have watched many documentaries on the events of that fateful day and I belive that as sick as it sounds, our own government is responsible for attacking our own country to get us to go to war and take the oil from these countries.
It is so sad that so many people have to die for peoples greed. What's even more sad is the fact that we are in part responsible, we take advantage of being able to cruise around and buy big gas guzzling vehicles. We don't relize that tons of people lose their lives in the pursuit of fossil fuels. I'm not saying I don't like the ease of being able to get gas and cruise when I like, if I can afford it. It is because of this demand that contributed in part to the events of september 11th. Most people like to shoot these claims of a conspiracy down, partly because they are ignorant and narrow minded. I think it's because deep down we don't want to admit that our government could do such an atrocious thing. Bush is like a messy child, he came in a fucked everything up and left our economy and morale in shambles and left.
Now that he is gone, Obama is expected to clean up after his mess. I think that instead of fighting terrorists in some other country, we should fight the ones in this country first. It is because of the actions of our government that our society is on the verge of collapse and soon we will be a third world country, worthless and self loathing. I know this was on the verge of a rant, but if you are one of the people who belive that september 11th was terrorists, then I invite you to visit these websites. (zeitgeist.com and loosechange.com) these are only a few of the sites that you can find some very incriminating evidence of the conspiracy. If you would like to debate this with me, then you better bring your A game.

I believe Van Jones (you know the commie) was forced to retire for sharing with this belief. I can respect the fact that you don’t like George Bush, because I am a conservative, and I disagree with him plenty. I write this comment not to condemn your right to free speech, but from firsthand accounts I have seen numerous dangerous conspiracy theories. FDR was responsible for the Pearl Harbor bombings, Barack Obama was born in Kenya, Bill Clinton killed members of his White House staff, Ronald Reagan in vented AIDS and crack, and strangely enough John F. Kennedy is not dead he just wanted to get out of the public’s eyes. Some may sound too farfetched to believe some maybe slightly less hard to believe. If you approached the people that believe these things, they too will sound mighty convincing. There are many conspiracy theories all are slightly believable, but the one thing the all certainly have in common is that in telling these stories to people there is a profit to be made.
ReplyDeleteJake, that's a thoughtful post, especially in response to an opinion that might not jive with your politics.
ReplyDeleteLet's talk about conspiracy theories.
I totally agree with you man. Bush is/was/and always wiull be a piece of shit. I totally think he had everything to do with the Twin Towers. We should totally talk about conspiracy theories. There are plenty out there.
